Brazil Gold Reserves Climb in August

Brazil's gold reserves rose to $24,558.3 million in August 2026, from $22,417.6 million in July, a monthly increase. The August figure remains below the all-time high of $29,048.6 million set in February 2026, and well above the series low of $265.0 million recorded in March 2001. Year over year, reserves were up from $14,360.4 million in August 2025. The value has fluctuated between roughly $22.3 billion and $29.0 billion over the past six months, with the latest print marking a rebound from the June trough, according to the International Monetary Fund.
