Mexico Money Supply M2 Hits Record High

Mexico's money supply M2 rose to 17,485,099,900,079.5 LCU bn in July 2026, from 17,354,918,969,621.1 LCU bn in June. This marks the highest level on record, surpassing the previous all-time high set in the same month. The series, which began in December 2001, has seen M2 climb steadily over the past year, with the July figure up from 16,117,919,446,470.8 LCU bn in July 2025. The latest reading extends the upward trend observed in recent months, following a slight dip in June. The data, sourced from the International Monetary Fund, reflects continued expansion in the money supply.
