US Producer Price Index Rebounds in August

The US Producer Price Index rose to 287.928 in August 2026, from 285.181 in July, a monthly increase. August's reading marks a rebound after two consecutive monthly declines, with the index having fallen from 290.2 in May to 286.023 in June and 285.181 in July. The series, which began in January 1913, has risen sharply from its all-time low of 10.3 in February 1933, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
