Brazil's consumer confidence index fell to 84.7 in August 2026, from 88.3 in July. The drop marked the fourth consecutive monthly decline, leaving the reading at its lowest since November 2022. August's level was also below the 85.5 recorded a year earlier. The index remains below its all-time high of 114.4 set in April 2012 and above its all-time low of 60.2 in April 2020, according to OECD.
