Bulgaria's business confidence index rose to -4 in August 2026 from -4.2 in July, according to Eurostat. The reading remains in negative territory for the fourth consecutive month. The index is down sharply from 1.0 in December 2025 and stands well below its all-time high of 11.9 in January 2008.
