Germany's business confidence index rose to -11 in August from -12.9 in July, marking the third consecutive monthly increase. The August reading is the highest since June 2023 and well above the year-ago level of -19.6. It remains far below the all-time high of 24.1 recorded in September 2021 but well above the low of -42 from March 2009, according to Eurostat.
