That marked the fourth consecutive monthly increase and the highest reading since February 2026, though the index remained below the year-earlier -10.5. The index is far above its all-time low of -28 from September 2022 and well below its all-time high of 2.3 from February 2018. The monthly series extends back to January 1985, according to Eurostat.
