Hungary's consumer confidence index fell to -3.1 in August 2026 from 1.2 in July, reversing the previous month's positive reading. The index had been in negative territory since August 2025, with a year-ago value of -27.1. The August print is the lowest since May's -2.1, according to Eurostat.
