Indonesia's official period-average exchange rate versus the US dollar fell to 17,849.32 LCU/USD in August 2026, from 18,007.57 in July, which was the all-time high. The rate had risen in each of the prior three months, climbing from 16,828.10 in January. Despite the decline, the August value remained above the year-ago level of 16,308.80, according to the International Monetary Fund.
