Portugal's consumer confidence index fell to -20.4 in August from -19.5 in July. The reading is below the -17.8 recorded a year earlier and reverses a four-month recovery from April's -28.8. The index remains well above its all-time low of -47.8 set in October 2012, according to Eurostat.
