Slovakia's consumer confidence index rose to -20.9 in August from -21.7 in July, according to Eurostat. The reading matched June's level and was slightly below the -20.1 recorded a year earlier. The index has recovered from a low of -25.4 in March and April 2026, though it remains far from its all-time high of 3.1 in April 2007 and above the record low of -41.5 in August 1999.
