After declining from a mid-June level of 4.146 to a low of 3.777 in early July, prices rebounded to 4.096 in late July, then fluctuated near 4.08 in August. The price remains far below the all-time high of 5.006 set in June 2022. The latest reading is still well above the year-ago value of 3.177, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
