US gasoline production rose to 9,845 thousand barrels per day in the week ended August 28, from 9,772 a week earlier. The increase marked the third straight weekly gain, though output remained below the year-ago level of 9,872. The latest reading was also well below the all-time high of 10,699 set in July 2018. In the same week, natural gas stocks change was 3,214, while strategic petroleum reserve stocks reached 286,604 thousand barrels, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
